Frequently Asked Questions
How much mulch do I need for my garden?
Calculate your garden area (length × width) and multiply by desired depth. For a 10×10 ft bed with 3 inches of mulch: 100 sq ft × 0.25 ft = 25 cubic feet, or about 0.93 cubic yards.
How deep should mulch be?
Standard mulch depth is 2-3 inches. Deeper mulch (3-4 inches) works well for weed suppression, but avoid going deeper than 4 inches.
How many bags equal a cubic yard?
One cubic yard equals approximately 13.5 bags of 2-cubic-foot bags, or 9 bags of 3-cubic-foot bags.
